St. Merkorious Charity had the honour and privilege to deliver donations to the small town of Bargo, whose residents were unfortunately affected by the devastating 2020 Bushfires.
Our delivered donations included critical emergency items such as water, face masks, pantry goods, hygiene items, electrolytes and baby food.
Our volunteers met with Paula Zrilic, founder of ‘Our Community Pantry’, a not-for-profit organisation of local heroes who were busy with distributing food and essential items to those in need. We also met RFS volunteers and victims of the bushfire who lost their homes, and were inspired and gladdened to see that despite what the community has endured they stood resilient and were in high spirits from the kindness of strangers.
We thank our volunteers and the PAYCE Foundation, who donated their time and came along on this transformative journey, as well as all those who donated items to our Bushfire Appeal. We were humbled by the generosity and strength of all we encountered.
