Thank you for your interest in becoming a kitchen volunteer with us! As a kitchen volunteer, you’ll be engaged with our kitchen team – our chefs who cook our meals and our kitchen assistants – to help pack the meals after cooking. You’ll also help with clean-up so we are ready the next day to continue supporting our clients. Every small act of kindness keeps us going!
Our kitchen volunteers help around our professionally furnished kitchen, ready to help our team complete their tasks on time. That’s why it would be preferred if you:
We request a minimum commitment of 3 hours on a weekday between 7.00 am – 2.00 pm Monday-Friday for at least 3 months.
Your rostering of hours and days will be negotiated with you to meet your availabilities as a volunteer and the needs of the service.
We are committed to upholding the Volunteering Australia’s National Standards for Involving Volunteers. That’s why the engagement of ongoing volunteers is generally restricted to a maximum of 16 hours per week.
