Confidentiality Policy

understand that, in the course of my volunteering work with St. Merkorious Charity (SMC), I may have access to or hear about confidential or sensitive information and that it is my responsibility not to reveal this information to others outside of St. Merkorious Charity except where it specifically pertains to performing my duties as a volunteer. Also, it is my responsibility not to disclose this confidential information to others outside of SMC even after the end of my volunteering period. Examples of confidential information include but not limited to clients and volunteers name, their personal information such names, telephone numbers, addresses, place of employment, financial information, medical & personal health information or any other information. I understand that my breach of this confidentiality policy may result in termination of my volunteering status with SMC and possibly legal actions. If whatever reason I am unable to perform as agreed, I will advise SMC office immediately.
