Serving with Purpose: From the Court to the Community
At St. Merkorious Charity, we believe in the power of connection, community, and shared purpose. On Saturday the19th of October 2024, we were proud to collaborate with MAC’s CrankIt Foundation Ltd in celebration of their 10th anniversary, supporting a special tennis tournament held at St. Marys Tennis Courts, NSW.
As part of our contribution, St. Merkorious donated food and drinks for the day, ensuring players, families, and volunteers were nourished as they came together for an energetic and inspiring event. It was more than a tournament—it was a celebration of resilience, unity, and giving back.
A Shared Mission
MAC’s CrankIt Foundation is a nonprofit organisation committed to alleviating the suffering of individuals and communities affected by poverty, illness, disability, discrimination, and misfortune. Through sports, counselling, and employability programs, the Foundation empowers young people—developing their skills, confidence, and potential for long-term success.
Founder Coach Pat has dedicated her life to this mission. From local programs across Australia to international clinics in the Philippines, she uses tennis to inspire hope, build character, and open doors for children and youth in need. Her message is clear: no one should be defined by hardship, and everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.

More Than a Uniform
If you’ve seen a MAC’s CrankIt Foundation team at a tournament, you’ve noticed them—not just because of their signature green and blue uniforms, but because of how they carry themselves on the court. These players stand out for their discipline, tireless work ethic, and the grit they bring to every point, chasing down every single ball. What they may lack in resources or strength, they more than make up for in heart. Their hunger to improve, to fight, and to win is unmatched. They play with purpose—and with a profound sense of gratitude for every opportunity they are given.
It’s this spirit that defines them. And it’s why they don’t just participate—they leave a mark.
A Full Circle Moment
This collaboration was especially meaningful for St. Merkorious. Our Sports
Ambassador, Joya Nicolas, shares a close connection with Coach Pat, having trained and played alongside her in past squads. Coming together at this milestone event, just as our own charity celebrated its 10-year anniversary, felt like a full circle moment—a celebration of shared values and heartfelt connections.

We’re excited about what lies ahead as we continue to work with organisations like MAC’s CrankIt Foundation, extending the reach of our services. Sport has the power to unite communities, build confidence, and create real change.
Thank you
We offer our heartfelt congratulations to MAC’s CrankIt Foundation on 10 incredible years of service, strength, and community. Thank you for letting us be part of this special moment. We look forward to many more years of collaboration, growth, and shared impact.
