St. Merkorious Charity is thrilled to share some exciting news: we are getting a new sealing machine!

Thanks to the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2022 program, St. Merkorious Charity is able to upgrade its commercial kitchen technology by purchasing a new automatic food sealing machine that will help the charity offer more robust and innovative food provision services and programs.

This new sealing machine is more than just an upgrade. By automating the sealing process, St Merkorious Charity can enhance the food preparation process, ensuring every meal is securely packaged and preserving freshness and quality for much longer periods.

With meals that now last a lot longer, this machine will allow us to reach out to a wider range of clients and a much larger geographic footprint, ensuring that communities and clients across all of Greater Sydney will receive nutritious and well-preserved food.

We expect this could mean more opportunities for volunteers to get involved in meal distribution, as well as freeing up our kitchen volunteers for increased participation in community support activities.

The NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership 2022 grant has enabled St. Merkorious Charity to take a significant step forward in their mission to end food hunger and reduce food poverty. We thank them for enhancing our meal delivery services and contributing to a more connected and supportive community.
